Chunky Chewy Cinnamon Bars, got Milk?
These bars are chewy, and sweet, and disappear before your eyes. Covered in powdered sugar, stuffed full of Pecans and laced with Cinnamon there isn’t anything not to
love about these easy to make bars.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 C. Butter soft
- 1 C. Sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 C. Flour
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
- 1 1/4 tsp. Cinnamon
- 1 C. Finley Chopped
Directions:
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. Cream Butter, and sugar. Add Egg and beat until light and fluffy. Add Flour, salt, cinnamon and Chopped Pecans. Beat until smooth. Pour into greased 8 inch pan. Bake 35-40 Minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for about 10 minutes and then cut before they completely cool. After they completely cool remove from pan and roll into powdered sugar, and enjoy!
I tell you to cut them after 10 minutes because if you let them cool completely they are much harder to cut. I can never get the bars to be perfectly square, but what this bar
lacks in beauty it makes up for in taste. This recipe is a one bowl, one pan cookie, and it is very easy to make, so if you are looking for a quick cookie to serve for an unexpected dinner party you are invited to, or for friends stopping by on short notice this is perfect for you.
That is the last of the three cookie recipes I have for you this week. I took a picture of the tray that I sent over to my husband’s work. The tray came back empty I was a little disappointed I really wanted another Ultimate Cherry cookie, but I am glad that they all loved them so much.
I have a lot to do this weekend, I am going off to Fairmount Park tonight, my very first time going to see a horse race. I have no idea what I think of it, but it is high time I check it out. Hopefully sometime this weekend I will get to check out another place in St. Louis that I love and be able to add another article to the Visit STL page. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, be safe, and have fun.

ZOMGWTFBBQ, THOSE ARE EPICALLY AWESOME COOKIES!!!
Seriously, all three recipes are awesomely yummy. I need to get some milk for the cinnamon bars, but they all rock. If any ladies are looking for a quick way to a man’s heart these last 3 cookie recipes will do it.
I am not surprised that all the cookies were gone! I have a few days off from work, so I think I might try to make one of your recipes.
I just made these this morning. They are amazing. I didn’t use the confectioner sugar, though, as they seemed pretty sweet. Thanks for sharing this.
Sincerely,
L.S.
