Healthy Peach Mango Smoothie

I love Smoothies, and up until about a week ago I was without a blender, and that made it kind of hard, okay impossible to make a good smoothie.Peach Mango Smoothie 1

I am so happy to have a blender again, and it really is a superb blender. I got it off of Woot it is a Hamilton Beach Wave~Action 14 speed blender and was very reasonably priced. I think I paid $24.99 shipping included, and if you search around for it, it is priced at $39.99 so I had to purchase it. Having the blender will mean that there will be a lot more dessert drinks in the future here on Bakedblog.com

Smoothies made the right way can be packed full of good things for not only you, but your children as well. Plus there are endless possibilities when it comes to making a good smoothie.
Peach Mango Smoothie:

Ingredients:

  • One Peach
  • One Mango
  • 1/2 C. Fat free Yogurt
  • 1/2 c. - 1 C. Skim Milk

Directions:Peach Mango Smoothie 2

Peel, and chop up your mango and peach and place them in the blender. Add the Yogurt and 1/2. C Skim Milk. Blend together until smooth. If it is too thick add more milk. Enjoy!

A thicker smoothie is something I enjoy, but my son does like his to be thinner. Which is why I list the Skim milk as 1/2 cup to 1 cup. If the smoothie is too thick for you adding more milk should do the trick. I added some fresh strawberries on top as a decoration. My son ate the strawberries, and he loved being able to drink out of a fancy glass.

This is sort of off topic, but some people may wonder why I let my son drink out of the fancy glass. First he used a straw in it. Secondly when I was a kid we weren’t allowed to touch the glass glasses (that is what we called them,) mom said they were reserved for the President or the Pope. Since neither of those dudes ever bothered to grace us with their presence, we never got to use the glass glasses. My Mother had a large collection of glass glasses, and I always wanted to be able to drink out of them. The very fact that they were off limits made sneaky, sticky child hands wants to grab them even more.

To this day I am a bit obsessed with glasses. If I had a bigger cabinet I would have to rush out and buy more. In fact I use glasses to drink just about everything. Yes this is a little weird, but maybe because my Mother felt they should be reserved for special people, I feel a little more special when I am drinking out of a glass. Make any sense?

I am really looking forward to bringing you many new drinks from the baked bloggers blender (say that ten times fast.) From non-alcoholic to dessert drinks with a little spike in them, this will be fun.
