Ultimate Cherry Cookies; Back on Track
Finally we are getting back on track here at Baked blog. After several days without the Internet, and other things getting in the way of my baking, and my blogging. I am glad
to say we are getting back on Track.
Ultimate Cherry Cookies are a wonderful burst of sweet cherry, and chocolate dancing on your tongue. I love Cherries, and I wanted this cookie to be like (to quote a favorite song,) a cherry bomb going off in your mouth.
If you are a cherry lover then this new recipe is the one for you.
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 C. Flour
- 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
- 1 tsp. Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1 C. Butter ( at room temperature)
- 3/4 C. Sugar

- 3/4 C. Brown Sugar
- 2 Lrg. Eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 C. Chopped dried Cherries
- 1 bag of Hershey Cherry Cordial Kisses
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Stir together Flour, Baking soda, Baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl beat Butter, Sugar, and Brown Sugar together until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla beat low speed until combined. Add the dry to the wet and beat until combined. Fold in Dried chopped cherries. Drop by rounded Teaspoons on to ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately place a Hershey Kiss in the middle of the cookie, and move cookie to cooling rack.
These Cookies are just delightful. My only problem was chopping the dried Cherries. They were very sticky, I am not sure if chopping them in a blender or a food processor would have been much better then doing it by hand. You can be creative with this cookie, I don’t know if the Hershey Cherry Cordial Kisses are always available so using another type be it a plain Kiss, or even an almond one is a way to mix up the flavor of this cookie.
Tomorrow and Friday I will have more cookie recipes to put up on the blog. I had to make a gift for a friend which is why I ended up making so many cookies. I also sent the leftovers (a ton,) to my husband’s work I hope they enjoy them.
As always you can get this and all the recipes here for free on a recipe card

No problem, and yes they are great microwaved. It softens up the cookie a bit, and melts the Hershey kiss which omg just makes it so delicious. I make another version of these that is a peanut butter cookie with the Hershey kiss on top. Hubby won’t eat them unless he has the fresh from the oven or reheated in the microwave.
Okay he will eat them, but he isn’t as happy as he would be if they were melty and warm.
I really enjoyed looking at your blog, and it gives very good information. By the way, the cookies look delicious.
my kids love my choco chip cookies and adding dried cherries is a great idea. i’m gonna try this. thanks for sharing the recipe

Oh geez — you’ve just hit on TWO of my weaknesses in ONE cookie! Cherries and Chocolate! You are evil personified!
I need a recipe using Splenda instead of sugar so I can at least say these are healthy and low calorie
