Visit Hodaks In St. Louis Missouri
Hodaks Restaurant and Bar should be a stop on any Fried chicken lovers list. After all Hodaks has been in the chicken business since 1962.
If you desire a nice meal, in a great setting, and fair prices then you have to stop at Hodaks Restaurant and Bar when you visit St. Louis. Hodaks slogan is “Where chicken lovers come to roost.”
It seems that Hodaks is always busy and if you are going to make the trip then you should plan to arrive a little early. Sometimes the waiting line zigs and zags all through the restaurant. Even though the line can be huge it moves at a fairly rapid pace, so you never have to wait too long for your plate of fried chicken. If you do end up waiting in the line no big deal take that time to check out the decor. If you take a glance around you will notice that they have Chicken statues in just about any design you can image.
The menu at Hodaks is huge, even though they are known for their Fried Chicken, which has been voted St. Louis best chicken since 1991, there are a ton of other choices that are just as good. Anything and everything from Steak, to sandwiches (I had their BLT once it was amazingly good,) Pork Chops, salads, Fried Jack Salmon, and even Frog legs!
The Portions are big, and the prices are reasonable. Their famous chicken platter comes complete with four pieces of chicken, as well as healthy portions of fries and cole slaw, and only costs $7.00. Their kids menu is great and our son got the two drumstick dinner which came with your choice of vegetable, potato, or salad and only cost a little over two dollars. We also tried one of their appetizers the fried mushrooms. I have to say I fell in love with them, with ranch sauce to dip them in they were hot, juicy and perfect. The service was great, our drinks were never empty, and the waitress even brought my son a little toy while we waited for our meal.
If you truly want to explore St. Louis then you have to stop at Hodaks, where a friendly environment, a huge menu, and the best fried chicken await you.
